Ring turnover mechanism

The frame is equipped with a pair of rigid circular rails on each side, which are driven by the built-in synchronous tooth chain and servo or AC motors to realize smooth and reliable circular motion.
The circular structure ensures stable loading and can quickly complete 180° turning.

Adjustable clamping system

The clamps (or vacuum chucks) on the arm can be adjusted according to the thickness and area of the plate, adapting to the clamping needs from a single large plate to multi-layer stacked plates.
Remains tight during the tipping process to prevent slipping and scratching.

Modularized infeed / outfeed docking

The front and rear of the machine are equipped with rollers or chain conveyor tables, which can be seamlessly docked with the upstream and downstream production lines (such as veneering, sanding, and painting).
Support interlocked automatic loading and unloading, significantly reducing manual handling.

Heavy-duty design and safety protection

The loading and unloading platform and turning frame are made of high-strength profiles or welded steel plates with reinforced beams to improve the loading capacity. The maximum turning capacity is 1.5-2.5 tons of stacked boards.
With grating protection, an emergency stop button, and overload protection to protect the operation’s safety.

I. Loading in position: In advance, on the head conveyor table (or automatic loading trolley), the plates to be turned (single or stacked plates) are stacked on the turning bearing platform and positioned by the side positioning pins or rollers.

II. Clamping and locking: After the control system sends out the turning command, the clamps inside the annular rail are automatically tightened along the guide rail to clamp the boards firmly on the turning platform.

III. Ring turning movement: The servo / AC motor drives the coaxial sprocket, drives the ring along the fixed track to do a clockwise or counterclockwise 180 ° rotation and completes the board up and down flip. During turning, the PLC monitors the position in real-time and adjusts the speed through a frequency converter to ensure smooth and shock-free operation. If only purely flipped, the system will automatically stop for a moment to confirm the stability of the plate.

IV. Unclamping and unloading: After flipping in place and confirming the stability, the clamps will be released automatically, and the boards will be transported to the following process through the discharging roller or chain conveying table.

Flat boards or stacked boards: From single large boards to multi-layer stacked boards, flat boards can be handled, and they are especially suitable for turning boards in woodworking, veneering, sanding, and other processes.

Thickness and weight range: The standard model can turn stacked boards ≤600 mm thick, with a total weight of up to 1.5-2.5 tons and dimensions below 2.5 m×1.3 m (larger sizes can be customized).

Loading position: the plate is fed into the tipping platform from the front conveyor table and is positioned by locating pins or rollers.

Clamping: Pneumatic/hydraulic clamps clamp the sheet to prevent it from slipping during turning.

Ring track turning: The left and right side rings are driven by servo/AC motors to rotate the fixture 180 °.

Unclamping and unloading: After turning over and stopping, the clamps are released, and the plates pass through the back-end conveying table to the following process.

Dual clamping design: up and down or left and right clamping to ensure smoothness and reliability;

Overload and limit protection: PLC real-time monitoring of the flip angle and torque in case of abnormal automatic shutdown;

Safety grating/guardrail: to prevent people from accidentally entering the flip range;

Emergency Stop Button: Emergency stops are provided around the machine, and one key is used to cut off the power.

Lubrication: Regularly (weekly recommended) grease is added to the circular chain rails and fixture slide guides.

Fastening check: Check the bolts, couplings, and air pipe joints for looseness or leakage every month.

Electrical Maintenance: Keep the control cabinet tidy and ventilated, and check the tightness of terminals and the status of components every six months.

Cleaning: Regularly clean the dust and debris on the platform and track to prevent jamming.

Simulation debugging: test the turning process with the empty machine, familiarize with the rhythm and time of action;

Small batch test material: first, use the plate with the positioning mark to test turning and confirm the clamping strength and turning accuracy;

Process formula management: store the parameters of different plates (thickness, turning angle, speed) through the HMI and call them with one key;

Safety training: make sure the operators understand the process of emergency stopping, grating protection, and emergency disposal.

Size and weight of the workpiece: select the load capacity according to the maximum board length, width, thickness, and the number of stacked boards;

Flip angle requirements: in addition to the conventional 180 °, if you need 90 ° or other angles, please specify when ordering;
